Terms of Service
Last updated: October 27, 2026
These terms apply when you use Calmretry (the "Service"), available at calmretry.com. The Service is provided by Slow Software, an independent software studio operated by El Mehdi Ayad in Morocco ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.
1. What the Service does
Calmretry helps subscription businesses recover failed payments. It connects to your billing account with access you grant, detects declined, failed or expired-card charges, sends emails to your customers on your behalf with a secure link to update their payment details, and shows you a dashboard and summary of recovered revenue.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in US dollars, and renew automatically each month until cancelled.
- Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for your purchase and handles payment processing, invoicing and applicable sales tax or VAT. Lemon Squeezy's own terms also apply to the purchase.
- Your plan is based on your monthly recurring revenue. If your revenue grows beyond your plan's limit, we will let you know before moving you to the right plan.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply from your next billing period after the notice.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel anytime from your account or the Lemon Squeezy customer portal, or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy, including a full refund on your first payment if you ask within 14 days.
5. Your responsibilities
- You confirm that you have the right to connect your billing account and to let us email your customers about their payments on your behalf.
- You are responsible for the content of the emails you customise, and for having a lawful basis to contact your customers about their subscriptions.
- You will not use the Service to send spam, marketing unrelated to a customer's existing subscription, or anything unlawful, misleading or harmful.
- You will not try to break, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
6. Your data
You own your data and your customers' data. You give us permission to process it only to provide the Service. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect your billing account and delete your data at any time.
7. Results
We work to help you recover payments, but we can't guarantee any particular amount will be recovered. Whether a customer pays depends on them and on their bank. When we report revenue as "recovered", we mean invoices that were paid after at least one Calmretry email.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service running reliably but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features over time. If we ever make a change that significantly reduces what your paid plan includes, or decide to shut the Service down, we will tell you in advance and refund any prepaid period you can no longer use.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the Service or others at risk, or fails to pay. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the issue. You can stop using the Service at any time.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or revenue, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of Morocco, unless the law of your country requires otherwise. We'd always prefer to sort things out by email first.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll email account holders before they take effect.
